WEEK 84

Alright, this week was insane. Here are the highlights —

- WEDDING
On Friday, we went to Mexico City! We had two families that were gonna get baptized on Saturday, but they had to get married first. We went with the sister training leaders and got there at like 7:30 am. We had like 3 hours to wait so we went and bought some breakfast and then just walked around the city. By the time the weddings came, it was super easy. We first married Carlos and his wife and then Elizabeth and her husband. We went back home with Elizabeth and her family cuz they know Mexico City really well. It turns out though that we took the long way home. We first took a bus ride for like 1 ½ hours and on the bus ride, I had like 2 people try to rob me. Then we got off the bus in Tepito, which is prolly one of the most dangerous cities in all of Mexico! Missionaries aren't allowed there which prolly explains why everyone was just staring at me. Multiple people came up and tried to sell me their guns. There was even a Bengal tiger there for sale. Then we got on the metros, which almost closed my comp out. It was literally a war to get in the bus. There were hundreds of people just shoving each other and by the time I got in, the doors started closing. I saw my comp outside so I had to stand in between the two doors so my comp could get in. Then on the bus drive, everyone was just flying everywhere cuz the driver absolutely sucked! My comp prolly broke his arm and there were a few bloody noses. Then we took another bus and finally got our last ride home from Elizabeth. It was one of the best days of my mission.

- BAPTISM
On Saturday, we had the baptism of Carlos and his family and Elizabeth and her family. It was super cool and the Spirit was so strong. It was probably the best day of my mission. Being able to see two families get baptized so they can be sealed as eternal families! We had some gas pizza after then went to a party for Elizabeth's wedding.

- LOST KEYS
On Saturday night, we got home at 10 from Elizabeth's party and realized we didn't have the keys to get in. So at like 10:15, we were back at the bus station to take a bus back to the church. A member drove by and picked us up, which was super clutch cuz he drove us to the church. We got there and looked for 15 minutes, but we didn't find anything so around 11 pm, we called our district leader and told him we were gonna stay with them. We stopped on our way to grab some food cuz we had the munchies and then arrived at their place. We prolly stayed up til like 1 or 1:30 just messing around and then finally went to bed. We woke up the next morning and got to church where another set of elders handed us our keys. They had a baptism after ours and found the keys at the bottom of the baptismal font. I got no clue how, but it just happened.

Anyways, hope your week was as good as mine.

Love you all!!
