WEEK 80
Had a great week! Here are the highlights —
- ZONE CONFERENCE
We had our Christmas Zone Conference. It was the best zone conference I've been to. They had a Christmas program so we heard a bunch of Christmas stories and sang a bunch of songs. After, we played a bunch of games and broke a piñata. We had secret santas and I got a poncho that I now wear to bed every night cuz it's freakin cold here! Our mission president gave everyone gifts and then I got some from my parents.

- NAVIDAD
It was super cool to spend my last Christmas here in Mexico. I was in a trio so it felt kinda weird but it was super fun! We honestly did nothing for Christmas day but Christmas Eve, we went to a member's house and played a bunch of soccer. Then I had to check in with all the companionships in my zone, but after, we had pasole! We finished by playing one of the most intense games of Uno I have ever played. We prolly got home at like 11:30 and talked for 30 minutes. At midnight, when Christmas Day arrived, we opened the packages our parents sent us and stayed up till 2 am playing with the gifts. On Christmas, we came to church and played soccer and then went shopping for a baptism the rest of the day. At night, we went to a member's house and she gave us presents.

- BAPTISM
Alonso was baptized! It was super cool to see how much he's changed. When we first found him, he was on drugs and drank a bunch but now he's a good lookin' dude and loves church. There were a bunch of people at his baptism cuz he's literally friends with everyone at church. And then after, we got to munch on some pizza and cake.

- NEW COMP
I got a new comp and his name is Elder Ricardez. He's also from Tobasco, like Elder Fuentes, but my new comp actually likes to work. He only has 2 transfers left on his mission, but he's a super good missionary. Also, he talks quite a bit so that's nice cuz my old comp was a mute.

- NEW YEAR'S
In Mexico, New Year's is bigger than Christmas so everyone was going nuts and there were a bunch of parties. It was Sunday, so we went to church and then after, I got to confirm Alonso. That was super cool! After that, the sisters called and asked if I could baptize one of their investigators, so we had a surprise baptism — which was cool and then we had cake. We went to a member's house to eat and had some sort of chicken and pasta. Then we munched on apple salad and cake. We got home at 9:30 and I checked on the companionships in my zone then we just hung out til midnight.
