WEEK 65

Last week was pretty good. Here are the highlights —

- MEXICAN NIGHT
On the 15th of September, we had a Mexican Night in the stake for Mexican Independence Day!! It was supposed to start at 6:30 pm, but because we are in Mexico, it started at 8 pm!! It kinda sucked cuz we had to be in the house by 8:30 pm and a bunch of missionaries came from far away so they didn't get to enjoy much. We helped set most of it up and then had to go. But the other set of elders got to sleep at our house that night. We ate like 45 tacos and drank 6 liters of coke! There were only 4 of us!! Then at like 10:30 pm, we worked out and then got hungry again so we went and grabbed ramen and ate that. We ended up going to bed at like 2 am. The best part of the night was definitely at the house, not at the Mexican Night.

- TRIO
This week I went to an area and was in a trio! It was actually really fun and I'd be down to be put in a trio for a few months!! We saw a bunch of miracles when we were there! We got to put three of their friends on date and hopefully this week, they can put two more of their friends on date. We also got to go to a funeral for one of their friends who passed away. He was Catholic and the Catholics here are kinda weird. At the funeral, they put the casket in the car. We walked behind it for so freaking long (I think I missed 2 meals) and then finally we got to the cemetery. We then sang a bunch of hymns and the Spirit was super strong. Hopefully the mom and sister can accept the gospel and an invitation to get baptized.

- LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
This week we had to go to Pachuca for a leadership council!! It was pretty fun. I got to see a bunch of elders and hermanas that I haven't seen in a long time. We talked a lot about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how we can use it in our lives. I've learned that it is the greatest gift we can ever have and that it can help whatever problem we have!! It definitely strengthened my testimony.

- BAPTISM
We had the baptism of our friend, Alejandro!!  He is the husband of a less-active sister. Actually, they got married on Friday so that he could get baptized! It's been super cool to see how much his life has changed in like a month or two. His baptism was so cool. He had a bunch of family there and the Spirit was so strong. Baptisms are easily worth all of the work we do! It's so cool knowing that we just helped save someone!!

Anyways, hope your week was as good as mine!

Love,
Elder Fuller

How cool is this car? Our patriarch is in his 80's and drives it to church every Sunday.

...so we both got a buzz cut.

Elder Berquist came out to trio with us.
Surprised a lot of people since we were comps in this area — at this time, last year.

Alejandro was baptized!!
