WEEK 53
This week was a really good week!! Here are the highlights —
- ONE YEAR
First off, I hit a year, which is super weird. I feel like I've only been out for six months. It has easily been the hardest but the best year of my life!!

- BAPTISMS!!
This week was basically full of baptisms!!
Monday —
We put three of our friends on date for baptism. One is a family of four and the dad is inactive. We wanted to baptize the mom with her kids but the couple isn't married yet (and that usually takes a while) so we will baptize her kids now and then later, after they get married, the mom will get baptized. Our other baptism is a different mom. Her whole family are members, but again, she wasn't married to her husband. And finally, this week, after two years of missionaries working with her, she got married!! Now she can get baptized.
Wednesday —
On Wednesday, the sisters in another area had a baptism. A member of the seventy came down to baptize the two people because apparently, they are really good friends. It was so cool. Our mission president and stake president came too. The Spirit was so strong during the whole meeting. And after, we got to eat good food.
Friday —
On Thursday, I was able to interview one of the friends of the sisters in our district so that he could get baptized. After the interview, he asked if I would baptize and confirm him. So on Friday, we went to Tepatepec and I was able to baptize and confirm this man!! It was so cool. And also, he asked me to sing a solo at his baptism!! I don't know what he was thinking and it was the first time I've actually done that. I'm pretty sure I sucked but everyone said how pretty my voice was. And actually, another guy asked me to sing at his baptism this week. Maybe I've unlocked a hidden talent haha.
Saturday —
Saturday was so cool. One friend, Alberto, that I taught for the entire six months I was in Tizayuca, finally got baptized. He has been having lessons with missionaries for twenty-three years, and he finally accepted an invitation to be baptized. A whole crew of missionaries came down because we all taught him at different points. Was good to see a bunch of the missionaries I know.
- SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
When we were in Tizayuca, we were invited to go back to Alberto's house to eat. We were going to, but both my comp and I felt like we shouldn't go. So instead, we went by a grocery store to buy snacks before we went home. While we were at the grocery story, a family of three and then another man came up to us separately and told us they wanted to get baptized into our church and asked us how. We got their numbers and contacted the missionaries in Tizayuca. Now all four of them have baptismal dates. It was super coold to see how we followed a prompting and were really blessed for it.
Anyways, hope your week was as good as mine.
Love you all!!

From the week before that.. when we saw the Tabernacle Choir perform
At Alberto's baptism. With some of the missionaries who taught him.
The mom and daughter cat that basically live at our house. My comp loves cats.
....and last but not least. There's a lady in our neighborhood who thinks she's a witch.
She walks the streets most nights from midnight until just before sunrise, wailing & cackling.
If you turn up the volume, you can hear her.
