WEEK 40
This was a pretty good week. Here are the highlights —
INTERCAMBIOS
We had intercambios with the district leader. He taught me all the responsibilities of a district leader, which was cool, but we literally didn't leave the house for three days. It was pretty tough but I learned a lot. I really don't think intercambios were necessary; I just think he used it as an excuse to get a break from his comp.

- SERVICE
We did a lot of service this week. Some girl in our stake purchased a doctor's office so we painted all of it. Took like five hours, but we finished. Then when I was in intercambios, we got a call that a member who is paraplegic needed help getting into a car. It was pretty much a one-man job so the district leader volunteered me. Seriously, one of the hardest things I've ever done. The lower half of her body doesn't work so she faced me and just had to hug me as I carried her from the house to the car. I know that God gave me strength to do it cuz she was a big girl (short but probably outweighs me by at least 50 pounds). But it was still so hard. When I put her in the seat, I didn't secure her, so she started sliding out of the car yelling "¡Ayudame! ¡Ayudame!" Luckily, my comp and another guy caught her and I put her back up again. Then we drove with her to the doctor's office so I could help her out. We attempted to use the same approach, but it was a total disaster. When I lifted her up, her body wasn't the only thing that came up. Her shirt lifted all the way up exposing her bare breasts, but I couldn't reposition or else I would've dropped her so I just carried her like that, with her exposed chest pressed up against my shirt. Probably the most awkward situation I've ever been in. Didn't help that we had an entire audience of people just watching me carry her.

- GENERAL CONFERENCE
General conference was fantastic!! I learned so much. It might have been my favorite one so far. I loved how much the talks focused on being nice to everyone. We watched all five sessions in the chapel in Spanish and by the end of it, I was having a hard time staying awake. But the talks were all so inspired and definitely what I needed to hear.

Hope your week was as good as mine!

Elder Fuller
This sweet sister made us lunch. She buried all the meat in the ground, then covered it in cactus and cooked it for 15 hours. It was really good.
