WEEK 31

Had a great first week in Presas. Here are some highlights —

- NEW AREA
My new area is pretty cool. It's super green and has a bunch of animals. It's much more rural than my last area. The people are pretty cool. There are a few who don't like us, but most everyone's super nice. We have also worked super hard and didn't have a lot of success, but I know that we will if we keep working hard. I share a house with another companionship and it's so fun. We always mess around and talk until midnight or one every night, but it's super worth it.

- SATURDAY
What a day. Started off as one of the worst days and ended super good. First of all, instead of doing comp study, my comp and I played hacky sack and I nailed my foot on the counter and it hurt so bad. Prolly bad karma for not studying, but it was worth it. Then we went contacting and found a guy who invited us in. He locked the door behind us and wouldn't let us leave until we watched a video with him. It was called 7 things Mormons don't want you to know. It was super funny; I laughed at it and told him it was hilarious, but he meant for it to hurt us. Then he told us how horrible our church is for a good hour. Good times. Later, I was standing over a ledge observing an absolutely stunning view when I slipped and fell about 10 feet into a huge pile of trash. Ruined my shirt and I smelled like absolute crap the rest of the day. I was in a horrible mood and then the best part is  — who knows for what reason — that same guy who locked us in his house drove by and threw a rock at me and hit me in the leg. He drove past again and hit my comp in the head so then I picked up a rock and chucked it at his car. I dented the car and scraped the paint. And also, I've repented of it so I'm fine now. Then the rest of the day was filled with miracles. We found three people, had seven lessons, worked a bunch, and made a new dog friend.

- MY NEW DOG FRIEND
We were walking in an area and lost track of time. It was 8 and we're not supposed to be in this area past 6:30 cuz it's a little dangerous. When we were walking, a dog started sprinting towards us like it was coming to attack. Scared the absolute crap outta me but then, out of nowhere, a huge pit bull came and tackled the dog. Bit him once and then the dog ran away. Then the pit bull walked with us the rest of the way, for like 45 minutes, to our house. Now I want a pit bull even more.

Anyways, hope your week wasn't as eventful, but just as good as mine.

Love you all,
Elder Fuller
