WEEK 25

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the sights and spirit of the season. Here are some of the highlights from my week —

- COMPANION
My new comp, Elder Guzman, is super cool. He only speaks Spanish which is super good for me. We get along super well most of the time. He isn't very organized (which drives me nuts) but I guess I gotta learn to live with it. And I've learned a bunch of Mexican slang cuz he uses it a bunch which is kinda cool to be able to talk like a native.

- TEACHING
I don't know why, but for whatever reason, our teaching has just clicked. Like we don't have to look at each other or say anything and we can teach so smoothly. Elder Guzman is a really good teacher so it's so cool to learn how to teach that well. But our lessons have been so good this week cuz for whatever reason, we teach super well together.

- FOOD
This week was a huge accomplishment — I ate my first meal without any sort of tortillas. After four and a half months here, it finally happened. We had a burger and soup, but no tortillas. We also ate tortas, hot dogs, pasole, beef broth and dog tacos — which were actually good but sad at the same time. They just kill dogs to put them out of their misery and then add their meat to tacos.

- CRAZY THING
Well folks, this was pretty interesting...we tried to find an amigo at like 9 at night in a pretty ghetto area and we saw someone with a taser gun who we had seen before. But this time, we made eye contact and then he started chasing us. After some time, we headed into a member's house and he couldn't find us. It was pretty scary until I realized that my legs are twice as long as his so he can't really run. After the lesson, we saw him again passed out in the middle of the street so that was cool.

Hope your week was as good as mine!

Love,
Elder Fuller

....another random fire. They're pretty common here. My comp tried to jump over it but lost his footing and instead fell into it. Don't worry, he got out quick. He's hilarious.
