WEEK 13
Great week here in Pachuca. Here are some highlights —
- MIRACLE
We had some really insane miracles this week. On Friday, we got a call from the Sisters that someone they were teaching needed a blessing. This woman couldn't really move (as in walk) or grip anything. She just stayed in bed by the front door all day. We got there and she can't move so we gave her a blessing in bed. I anointed and my comp blessed. After the blessing she grabbed a cup of water by her bed and started drinking. None of us realized she had movement back in her hand which was so cool. We stayed and talked for a while and then when we started walking out, she just got up and walked out with us. It was so cool that she could actually walk!

- FOOD
This week I had a lot of American food. I had a burger, hot dogs, 2 milkshakes, grilled cheese, fries and a ham, cheese & mayo sandwich. They were pretty good but none of them were anything special. I did learn thought that if you don't eat your meal with tortillas and beans or rice, you are doing it completely wrong. But if you're not putting chili in all your candy, you're doing it right. Mexicans ruin every candy with their dumb chili.

- NEW PEOPLE
We found a good amount of new people this week. Our friend, Edgar, who was super strong in the gospel, decided he didn't believe in Joseph Smith and didn't want to keep learning so that sucks. But that night, we received a referral and the next day we had our first lesson with the man, during which we put him on date. We also found a bunch of poor houses right next to our church that we hadn't noticed before. We found four new people and a pet sheep. He was super dope but when we tried walking away from him, he would charge us and he bucked my comp in the butt.

- SERVICE
We got to have a service activity for a family in the Sister's area. They have a store in their house and their couch caught on fire. It burned a lot but Mexicans have concrete walls so the house didn't burn. But all the paint burned off and there was ash everywhere. We went and cleaned off all the stuff and then me and my comp painted. Apparently they have never seen a tall person cuz they thought I was so tall. They had a little kid who just kept standing next to me and looking at how tall I was. It was pretty nice though cuz I could paint the entire house. Their ceiling was super short so I got to paint that too.
