WEEK 10
I'm into double digit weeks now. This week was seriously a great one. Here are some memorable highlights —
- COVID
Yeah, I got Covid, but it was fantastic. I just lost my sense of taste and had a stuffy nose and sore throat. I felt sick on Tuesday and then on Friday at lunch, I realized I couldn't taste, so we finally called Sister Wright. She told us we had Covid and that we had to stay inside our apartment for 5-10 days. The next day they brought us literally 2 weeks worth of food so it's all good. But then, when they came to bring us food, they said if we felt good by Monday, we could come to their house. That meant we only had to stay inside for three days and we still got 2 weeks worth of food. Honestly it wasn't that bad staying inside. We played alot of indoor soccer, slept, cleaned and called a lot of people. We also got really good at cooking cuz whenever we were bored, we just cooked so I think I gained a good amount of weight. It was definitely a miracle that we only had to stay inside for 3 days. The only bad part was on Sunday. The bishop's wife gave us food and it was disgusting. It was rice and then pig skin soaked in some nasty oil thing. We threw it away and sent her a picture of the bowls empty and told her it was amazing to make her feel better because she felt bad for forgetting that she was supposed to feed us on Saturday so we didn't get food that day.

- INTERCAMBIOS
Intercambios (exchanges) were so fun but really hard. I switched with one of the zone leaders so I had to go over to their area. When I arrived, we immediately went to eat and the food was sooo good. Afterwards, we walked for so long and met a bunch of cool people. It was so hot (so that kinda sucked), and by the time we got back, my white shirt was brown. When we were walking, there was a huge mud pile and someone drove on it and splashed us with so much mud. After we picked up some tacos and went home. The next day we just studied and then set up some lessons.

- MONDAY
Monday was really fun. All of the new missionaries and their companions went to President's house. We arrived early so we helped set up. After we had a devotional. It took so long and there was a bowl of candy on the table right in front of me. Safe to say it was gone by the end of the devotional. The two assistants spoke and then Hermana Wright. She makes me feel really good cuz her Spanish sucks too. After all the new kids had to share their testimonies for two minutes. When it was my turn, I just kept talking. I talked for like 5 minutes without realizing it. After President Wright spoke, we ate. Then we played soccer for a few hours which was really fun. A few kids got hurt so we stopped and then we played volleyball. The net was so low so it was really easy cuz all the Mexicans are really short. But it was still fun. President gave all of the elders cologne so that's pretty clutch.
