WEEK 6
Not much time today so I'll just get to the highlights —
- THE REST OF CCM
The rest of the week went by so slow. The days were LONG. We had class everyday and they went at a snail's pace. On Sunday, we had a fast and testimony meeting. I bore my testimony in Spanish; it was like three sentences, but it's more than I knew before. That night we all just hung out and messed around the whole time. It was really fun and was the last English I got to speak. Also, quick update...everyone got better.

- LEAVING THE CCM
My roommates had to leave at 4 so I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. We had to be at the building by 6 and then we just waited in line. I finally got on the bus at 7 and then we drove to the airport. There was a bus station there and we had to wait 3 and a half hours for the bus to come. Everyone around me spoke Spanish so I just studied. Once we got on the bus, I slept for 2 hours and then we finally arrived at the bus station in Pachuca. The Wrights (my mission president and his wife) were there and they are the nicest people ever. We got to the mission home, ate Carl's Jr., and had orientation. I waited for like 3 hours to be interviewed by President Wright, and then after my interview, I met my companion. His name is Elder Berquist. He's from Utah and is super cool. We hitched a ride with some members to our house, which is 45 minutes from the mission home. When we arrived, we just talked for a few hours and then went to bed.

- FIRST DAY IN THE MISSION FIELD
Today was really cool. We woke up and got some breakfast — Yoplait yogurt. The yogurt was free cuz the store owner loves missionaries. She even got her husband to drive us to the bus stop. We went back to the mission home on a bus. I got my passport and ID copied and then we walked around for a while in Pachuca. We had warthog tacos and they were really good. Put some salsa on it and it's so good. We then took a bus back to our house and walked around for a few hours. Got some shopping done too and bought some milk, eggs and frosted flakes (zuccaritas in Mexico). We walked back to our house and dropped off the groceries. We then got a ride in a buggy car vochos; they look like the surfer Volkswagen vans with benches inside. It's like the taxi service here. We went to a member's house and ate some really good food. It was soup with rice, onions and cilantro. We also had homemade tortillas, chicken, pasta, salad and a banana dessert. We gave a lesson then went home for the night.

Anyways, hope your week is starting off as good as mine!

Even got to see a familiar face. Sawyer (Elder Tengberg) had to come by the mission office while I was there to get his new companion.
We went to the Mexico City Temple again last week
