WEEK 5

This is my last full week here at the MTC. Here are some memorable standouts —

- SPANISH
My Spanish is getting so much better. I actually have really good conversation now and they're pretty much all in Spanish except for a word or two. My grammar has also gotten a lot better, which is super cool cuz just a week ago, I was so awful at all parts of Spanish. I also have a Spanish test this Friday which I'm going to fail miserably. The test is just listening to a Spanish sentence and then repeating it. I can speak in Spanish and I can understand what people are saying, but I can't, for the life of me, repeat what someone is saying in Spanish. The sentences are also insanely long, so it's so hard.

- THE FOOD
The food has definitely gone downhill from when we first got here. I practically live on cereal — mainly chocolate or frosted flakes and Nutella and bread. Plus yesterday, 400 missionaries arrived, doubling the number here so breakfast this morning was insane. There was no room to sit and all the food was taken. Every once in a while, the food will be really good and I'll have like 4 servings, but it usually sucks. The best meals are corndogs and that's about it.

- SICK
Our whole district (except one Hermana) has gotten sick this week. I kid you not, I spent 30 minutes on the toilet Thursday morning, Friday morning, Saturday morning, and Sunday morning. My stomach hurts every once in a while and I usually destroy 3 or 4 toilets a day. But I don't even have it that bad compared to most of the kids in my district. Half of my district had to go to the CCM doctor cuz they were so bad. Our whole house smells cuz the toilets are just constantly being destroyed. I'm getting a lot better though and so is most of the district. But the last few kids from our district just caught the bug so they'll be in the bathroom for this next week.

- THE DEVOTIONALS
The devotionals are the best part of CCM (MTC). We have them every Tuesday and Sunday night. They're with the entire CCM. We usually watch videos of people who've been at the CCM tell about their conversion stories and those are so cool. Then the CCM choir sings, which my whole district is in. We usually watch a talk on Sundays. Those are so good. They are usually by Holland, and that's the best part of the devotional. On Tuesdays, it's usually a talk by the President or Sister Kirkam (President of the CCM), which are funny, or by a member of the presidency, or kids at the CCM. Then every night, we have a district devotional and those are so good. Everyone has a super strong testimony and you can really feel the Spirit.

Hope your week was as good as mine! Love you all!
