LAST WEEK

Image
Started my last full week as a missionary. Here are the highlights —  - BAPTISM This week, we had the baptism of Andrik, Emily, and Kimberly!! It was super cool cuz we got to do it in a lake. The Spirit was so strong and Emily was bawling her eyes out after. I'm so grateful I was able to be a part of their baptism story. It was prolly one of the biggest miracles that I have seen on my mission. They were baptized in less than 3 weeks. Their parents are gonna get baptized too but the dad first needs to divorce his first wife then the parents need to get married.  - S'MORES On Wednesday night, we went to Angel's house and made s'mores with him and his family. They always talked about making s'mores and how they had seen them in movies. They weren't exactly the same cuz we didn't have graham crackers or Hershey's cuz they are expensive here, but they were still really good. The family was super happy. Was super nice to see them all happy for the first time i...

WEEK 101

Was such a great week! Here are the highlights — - WORK This week we had a lot of work! We found a few new families and they're all super promising. We played a bunch of sports too. We gotta play some soccer and basketball, which was pretty nice. One of the families also taught us how to prepare a pig to eat. You gotta shave it, then cut it open, then take all of the organs out. It was really cool and they said they're gonna invite us over this week to munch on the pig. And they say next week, we can do a chicken or cow so hopefully that happens. - PACHUCA My comp finally got his visa after 4 tries. We've been to Pachuca 7 times in the past 7 weeks here, which kinda sucks cuz that means we basically missed a full week of work in our area. But we got some McDonald's and it was really good. I just got a McFlurry but my comp got a whole meal and everything. It was also cool seeing a bunch of other missionaries cuz that doesn't happen here in Zacualtipan. - ACTIVITY On ...

WEEK 100

Such a great week. Here are the highlights — - WORK The work has been going super well here.  We met a family last week and put their three kids on date for the 14th! The parents want to be baptized too but we gotta get the dad divorced from his first wife and then get the parents of the three kids married. That'll take a while but hopefully it'll happen soon. We have three other couples who want to get baptized but we need all of them to get married first. They definitely will all get baptized. Most likely in June. - BAPTISM On Saturday, we were able to go back to my old area, Tizayuca, for the baptism of Alondra. About six months ago, I was able to baptize her sister in Tizayuca and so they invited us back so I could baptize Alondra too. It was cool seeing so many people that I knew and getting to say good bye to a lot of them. I also got to see a sister missionary return home who served in my last zone with me.  It was super nice to be in Tizayuca again. - SUNDAY On Sunday,...
